Come grow with us! Jervey Eye Group is seeking an experienced, dependable, positive individual to work in our Patient Services department. This critical role serves as the liaison between our practice and our patients and is typically the first contact that a patient has with Jervey Eye Group. The successful candidate will be able to accept ownership for effectively solving patient requests, complaints and inquiries; keeping patient satisfaction at the core of every decision and behavior.

Skills/ Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and personnel from referring doctors’ offices, to achieve understanding of their needs, and the ability to take actions consistent with meeting these needs.
• Ability to maintain an appointment schedule according to established protocols in a computerized environment.
• Ability to respond to internal and external inquiries, perform research as requested, and resolve problems, and report back as requested or as per policy.
• Ability to consistently follow and comply with rules established by administration.
• Ability to communicate calmly and clearly with patients about appointments in all circumstances including when they are urgent or emergent.
• Ability to maintain a professional, stable demeanor in an office setting.
• Ability to be a careful listener who can enter and document information with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ability to analyze situations and respond appropriately.

Minimum Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED

Minimum Experience Requirements

• Experienced preferred in a call center role or in a medical office setting
• A background in insurance is also preferred.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to stand, reach, bend and squat repeatedly during the day.
• Must be able to communicate via the telephone.
• Must be able to view and type computer data.
• Must have manual dexterity to file.

8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
