Since our founding, Jersey College has graduated over 10,500 Registered Nurses and Practical Nurses. The Dean of Nursing position oversees the entire nursing curriculum and faculty. Position - Nursing Dean Job Responsibilities:
Faculty Oversight
Curriculum Implementation
Change Management
Staffing and Onboard of Faculty
Direct Authority for the Fiscal and Academic Administration of the Nursing Programs, when appointed as Program Administrator, Program Director or Nurse Administrator
Oversee the development and implementation of Jersey Colleges philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through classroom, clinical teaching, and service to Jersey College.
Oversee, manage and support financial operations of the nursing programs
Supervise clinical activities
Oversee instructional activities
Exams & Standardized Testing
Determine and assign appropriate faculty workload and coordinate schedules with Dean of Nursing
Initiate and manage faculty development
Participate in weekly management meetings and keep co-chairs and supervisors informed of student progress, faculty/student issues, educational changes, and any other issues that may require the attention of others
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Current license in State as a registered professional nurse
2 years of working experience in the area of education
Ability to maintain and report on student information and track record of achieving goals
Exceptional student/customer service, listening, and teamwork skills
An outgoing, approachable style and a passion for helping students succeed
Excellent communication and presentation skills
