Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of personal care services. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, and promoting their well-being. Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care, including assistance with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing - Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed - Administer medications according to prescribed instructions - Monitor and record patient vital signs - Assist patients with mobility and transfers, including lifting and positioning - Provide emotional support and companionship to patients - Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients - Adapt care techniques to meet the specific needs of individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities Requirements: - Previous experience in patient care or a related field preferred - Knowledge of hospice care principles is a plus - Ability to provide compassionate and empathetic care to individuals in need - Strong communication skills, both verbal and written - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Ability to lift and move heavy objects or individuals as required - Basic first aid knowledge and CPR certification preferred - Familiarity with medication administration procedures is an asset - Experience working with individuals with autism or other developmental disabilities is desirable At our company, we value our employees and offer competitive compensation packages.
