We are seeking part-time Therapeutic Childcare Staff to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7 am to 1 pm or 1 pm to 7 pm!

Therapeutic Childcare Staff: Therapeutic Childcare Staff are responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate therapeutic environment to minimize the adverse effects of a stressful situation or traumatic experience of children in crisis. They are responsible for managing the childcare of children visiting our short-term emergency childcare center. Children visiting Jeremiah's Place may have had difficult backgrounds and experiences, so staff need to understand the effects of trauma and child development.

Recent graduates and college students are encouraged to apply. Applicants should also have experience with caring for children with special needs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry children
• Physical stamina to keep up with active children
• Bending, kneeling, and squatting to interact with children at their level
• Ability to stand for extended periods

Qualifications and Skills

Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.

College graduates and current students are encouraged to apply. Great foot in the door for social services!
