Jenzabar is Hiring a Remote Project Manager

Position Summary

The Project Manager position is part of our Professional Services or Managed Services team related to managing customer projects. The projects can include Cloud Migrations, RDBA projects, SSO projects, consulting projects, software upgrades or training. This person is responsible for working closely with the customer to develop a project timeline, ensure the projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Essential Tasks

  • Prepare a project timeline that will account for all tasks and resources required to deliver the project
  • Schedule resources and identify all milestones that will be required to complete the project, including tasks that are to be completed by the customer
  • Effectively negotiate timelines with the customer
  • Communicate project status to the customer and account team. These updates will include a list of customer assignments, their respective due dates and status. 
  • Conduct projects meetings with the customer and project team
  • Provide a timely response to customer questions
  • Effectively manage and communicate out information on multiple projects
  • Ensure that Change Management controls are in place to stay within project scope
  • Always work with the customers in a positive manner. Periodically, the responsibilities of the project manager will necessitate decision-making that may not be well received by the customer. In these cases, it is essential to be assertive with the customer and when able provide the customer with as many options as possible.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or relevant experience
  • 2 years project management experience including managing projects from start to finish, preferably in a higher education
  • Familiarity with SmartSheet or other project collaboration tool
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral
