Jellenek Family Eyecare is Hiring an Optician Near Williamsburg, VA

Overview:
Optometric office in Williamsburg, VA is looking for an experienced Optician to join our team. The Ideal candidate will have the ability to sell and service eyeglasses with commitment to provide excellent customer service.

Duties:
- Assist customers in selecting eyewear that meets their needs and style preferences
- Take accurate measurements for eyeglasses and contact lenses
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with medical billing
- Work closely with optometrists to ensure optimal patient care

Skills:
- Proficiency in optical systems and equipment
- Knowledge of aseptic technique for handling eyewear
- Understanding of anatomy related to the eyes
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
- Experience with medical coding and billing procedures
- At least 3 years of optometric office experience or two years in a similar position
- Experience with My Vision Express software a plus
- Must be detailed oriented.
