EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate from an accredited college of pharmacy. A master’s degree or other advanced degree in appropriate discipline required.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATION:

Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy; Licensure to practice Pharmacy in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.


EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Previous management experience for a minimum of five years with a demonstrated track record in developing effective cost containment activities and managing successful programs. The ability to demand respect of peers and to generate enthusiasm as a whole. Experience in motivating and developing a consensus and commitment for programs consistent with the institutions policy. Strong communication, analytical and financial skills; ability and confidence to represent the hospital on all internal and external matters. Team leader with the capacity to relate to and communicate with all levels of personnel.

Responsible for all pharmacy services provided. This includes selecting, purchasing, manufacturing, compounding, dispensing, monitoring, storage and preparation of medications, including maintenance of proper records, as well as the provision of information on medications. Monitors, evaluates, and resolves all issues which pertain to the quality and appropriateness of patient care services provided by the Department of Pharmacy. Develops and monitors departmental budgets
