JOB EXAMINATION IS ANNOUNCED TO ESTABLISH AN EMPLOYMENT LIST TO FILL ONE (1) CURRENT EAST JEFFERSON VACANCY IN THE DEPARTMENT OF JEFFERSON COMMUNITY ACTION PROGRAMS AND FOR FUTURE VACANCIES AS THEY OCCUR. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES Under direction, the purpose of the position is to oversee and coordinate assigned Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and federal services programs including AmeriCorps serving the needs of citizens through local community centers and faith-based organizations/programs or providing assistance to clients of other federal sponsored programs. This position also ensures work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures and performs the more technical and complex tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility. Employees in this classification perform professional and administrative work. Position is responsible for managing the daily operations of assigned program(s). Performs related work as required. Position requires driving of a personal vehicle, thus possession of a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and personal automobile with minimum liability insurance available for business use (business travel is reimbursed on a mileage basis) will be given preference. SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION (ENTRANCE AND PROMOTIONAL)The examination may consist of a written test, a rating of training and experience, an oral panel interview or any combination thereof. Acceptable applicants will be notified of the time, date, and place of any assembled testing.
