Location: Port Townsend

Jefferson County’s Information Services Division is seeking a highly motivated, experienced individual to fill a Network Technician IV opening. The successful candidate will provide functional and technical support including maintenance on the County computer hardware/software/peripherals and VOIP system. Duties include troubleshooting, analyzing and resolving computer hardware/software problems; install, configure and maintain computer equipment and software; provide training to customers in the use of computer hardware and their use of VOIP telephone system; and provide technical support with excellent customer service skills.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS) from a four-year college or university in computer science or an appropriate field of study and 4 years of related experience with computers, telephone systems, server and network operating systems; or an Associate’s Degree (AA) in an appropriate field of study and 6 years of related experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation: This is a full time, 40 hours per week, Teamsters union position with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick leave, 12 paid holidays, bereavement leave and retirement provided through Washington State DRS. Hiring range is $31.21 to $38.98 per hour. Placement will depend on level of experience and qualifications.
