Jefferson City Medical Group is Hiring a Director of Communications Near Jefferson, MO

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Communications Director is responsible for developing and implementing JCMG’s communication strategy, overall marketing plan, and ensuring: Working with the clinic's leadership team to create a comprehensive communication plan that addresses the clinic's goals and objectives, as well as its target audiences.
Job Specific Competencies:
  • Collaborates with leadership to develop a comprehensive overall communications, marketing and public relations strategy.
  • Managing the clinic's brand and messaging: Responsible for ensuring that the clinic's messaging is consistent across all channels and that it aligns with the JCMG's values and mission.
  • Overseeing the creation and distribution of content by working with writers, designers, and other creatives to develop content for the JCMG's website, social media channels, email campaigns, and other communication channels.
  • Manages outside vendors to ensure that projects are completed within budget, on time and in alignment with JCMG’s strategic goals and objectives.
  • Leads the Communications Team.
  • Utilizes Project Management software which tracks all projects assigned to the Community Relations marketing team.
  • Develops relationships with local and national media outlets to help promote the JCMG, providers and its services. This includes writing press releases.
  • Measuring and reporting on communication efforts: You'll use metrics to track the success of your communication efforts and provide regular reports to the JCMG's leadership team.
  • Manages the Communications budget for ongoing freelance and agency partnerships, software, recurring expenses, ad placements, etc.
  • Supervises the new provider onboarding process, ensuring all marketing materials are done in an appropriate manner. Ensures coordination and communication between other divisions for various aspects of provider onboarding.
  • Managing crisis communication: In the event of a crisis, you'll be responsible for communicating with stakeholders, including patients, employees, and the media, to ensure that everyone is informed and up-to-date on the situation.
  • Develop positive collaborative and supportive relationships with JCMG physicians, providers, leaders and staff.
  • Coordinate community relations activities in support of and aligned with JCMG’s strategic initiatives and direction. including promotional activities for new JCMG providers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • 4-year degree required, master’s preferred: Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, or related field
Experience:
  • Direct experience in either graphic design, social media marketing, website development preferred.
  • Direct experience leading and performing business development activities in a healthcare or service industry environment.
  • Direct experience with professional writing, strategy development, marketing, sales, brand management, media relations, etc.
License/Certification:
  • None
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Ability to think both strategically and creatively
  • Ability to lead and communicate effectively
  • Ability to function in a team-oriented environment and build effective and positive working relationships with peers
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant marketing/design software programs
  • Proficient in budget management and contract negotiation
  • Working knowledge of print media execution
  • Working knowledge of social media practices
  • Working knowledge of digital media execution
  • Working knowledge of web development and content management systems
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to successfully manage complex and charged relationships at all levels
