Coding Manager- Hybrid- This position will be able to work on site and remotely within the same week.

Job Description:

The Coding Manager will be responsible for overseeing the coding department and ensuring that all coding is accurate and up to date. They will manage a team of coders and work closely with other departments to ensure that coding is consistent across the organization. The Coding Manager will also be responsible for staying up-to-date on coding regulations and guidelines and ensuring that the department is in compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the coding department and ensure that all coding is accurate and up-to-date
• Manage a team of coders and provide guidance and support as needed
• Work closely with other departments to ensure that coding is consistent across the organization
• Stay up-to-date on coding regulations and guidelines and ensure that the department is in compliance
• Develop and implement coding policies and procedures
• Train new coders and provide ongoing training to existing coders.
• Perform regular audits to ensure coding accuracy.
• Provide reports and analysis on coding trends and issues.
• Build relationships with providers and reporting employees.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
• Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding
• 2-5 years' experience managing a team of health care professionals.
• Strong knowledge of coding regulations and guidelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
