The Outreach Substance Abuse position, under the direction of the Executive Director, is responsible for providing individual psychotherapy services to a case load of individuals who have a substance use disorder. The Outreach Counselor will be the primary coordinator of clinical services for their caseload and will also fulfill necessary data-gathering and other written requirements for the program.
Essential Functions
Knowledge of substance abuse disorders and behavioral health disorders
Knowledge of evidence based treatment interventions (e.g., CBT, DBT, MI, ACT, or Trauma-Informed)
Knowledge of medication for opioid use disorders.
Education:
Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, human services, or other related field.
AND
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of experience working in a clinic focused on chemical dependency and/or substance abuse related issues or general behavioral health issues.
ASAM Certification (Preferred, but can be completed within first month of taking role)
Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:

CAADC (preferred)
LPC, LSW, LCSW, or PsyD/PhD (preferred)
