Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; BSN or completion of BSN within 3 years of hire strongly preferred
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Manages all outpatient advanced heart failure patient issues under the supervision of the heart failure cardiologists. Participates in all outpatient visits. Utilizes critical thinking to interpret clinical symptoms, abnormal laboratory values, pulmonary artery waveforms in the setting of CardioMems devices, and manages intravenous inotropic medications. Works in unison with the OHT/VAD team members to assure smooth transition for patients across the health care continuum. Must be able to effectively communicate with patients, families and all other members of the patient care team.
