The R&D engineer will work under the supervision of the team leadership to assist with every phase of the neurotechnology R&D cycle, some of the duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Software programming and validation. The neurotechnology development team develops all the necessary software suites in-house. Programming tools that are routinely used are C, C , C#, Arduino (C), Matlab and Python, depending on the specific application requirements.
  • Schematic design, PCB layout, part selection and ordering, reviewing of drawings.
  • Hardware testing, device prototyping and bench-testing.
  • Work directly with medical staff and patients for the identification of new tools and optimization and integration of existing technologies.
  • Develop both real-time and off-line signal processing tools specifically designed to address patient-specific issues or needs.
  • Assist with implementing feedback-driven strategies.
  • Create and maintain FDA compliant documentation and comply with HIPAA to maintain patient confidentiality.

EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomechanics, Biomedical/related Engineering, or a related field Masters preffered
  • CITI clinical human research training

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum years of experience 2 years, 5 years preferred.
  • Experience with software programming: C, C , C#, Matlab and Python
  • Experience with software Design specifications & requirements, verification and validation
  • Experience with design and prototyping of electrical circuits and devices using bread boards and perforated boards
