Job Title: Surgical Nursing/Orthopedic Staff Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description:

Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with a passion for surgical nursing and orthopedic care? We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Nursing/Orthopedic Staff RN to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures, including orthopedic surgeries.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and reassess patients across the lifespan and apply the nursing process to ensure optimal care.
• Demonstrate competency in specialized procedures and equipment, including pre and post-operative care, pain management, and medication administration.
• Provide individualized, age-specific care that supports hemostatic regulation, hemodynamic monitoring, and physiologic functioning.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records.
• Respect patient confidentiality and address psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to healthcare staff.
• Assist physicians with procedures in the department.
• Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and processes.
• Serve as a preceptor to orient new employees.
• Engage in professional development activities and ongoing education.

Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid RN license and CPR certification.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS EKG certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in surgical nursing; 5 years preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with professionalism.

Pay: $59.60 - $71.78 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
