Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical (Travel Contract to Pikeville Kentucky)

Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in a medical/surgical setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and medical history
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management and treatment options
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations and procedures
- Perform wound care, including dressing changes and suture removal
- Monitor patients post-operatively and provide appropriate interventions

Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical/surgical setting preferred
- Experience with ventilated patients, alimentation, and ICU care is highly desirable
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assess patient conditions
- Familiarity with medical office procedures and electronic health records systems
- Experience in specialized areas such as esthetic laser treatment, ophthalmology, or assisted living is a plus

Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of [location]
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Strong clinical assessment skills and critical thinking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a diverse patient population
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
