Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Certified Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and futures of our students. You will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment, developing and implementing Creative Curriculum, and providing support to students. We are a 10 month program with paid time off over the summer vacation.
Duties:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum to meet the educational needs of students
- Plan and deliver lessons that promote active learning and student engagement
- Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters learning and growth
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop educational programs and initiatives
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on student progress
- Utilize various teaching methods and techniques to accommodate different learning styles
- Provide individualized support to students with special education needs or learning difficulties
- Foster a love for learning by creating a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and assessments
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Valid teaching certification/license (Birth - Grade 2)
- Proven experience working with students in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of Creative Curriculum & ASQs development principles, practices and assessments
- Familiarity with special education strategies, techniques and IEPs (optional)
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
- Knowledge of child welfare guidelines and best practices
- Family engagement techniques and must be able to know how to conduct parent teacher conferences
- Experience with teaching 3-5 year olds
