Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Electrical Construction Estimator. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist in estimating the costs of electrical construction projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with entry-level experience in electrical engineering or construction management to gain valuable industry experience.

Responsibilities

· Project Documentation Analysis

o Review project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to understand the scope of work and project requirements.

· Quantity Takeoffs

o Perform quantity takeoffs for electrical materials, labor, and equipment based on project plans and specifications.

· Cost Estimation

o Utilize estimating software and spreadsheets to calculate the cost of materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services for electrical construction projects.

· Vendor and Subcontractor Communication

o Obtain quotes and pricing from vendors and subcontractors for materials and services required for the project.

· Cost Analysis

o Analyze costs to identify areas for cost savings and value engineering opportunities.

· Bid Preparation

o Assist in the preparation of bids and proposals for electrical construction projects.

· Project Management

o Responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing all aspects of a project to ensure it is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

o Responsible for coordinating with stakeholders, managing resources, and mitigating risks to drive project success.

· Collaboration

o Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely project estimates.

· Documentation and Reporting

o Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and related documentation.

o Prepare reports as needed for project stakeholders.

Qualifications

· A minimum of 3 years of construction experience.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely manner.

· Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

· Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in the field of electrical construction estimating.

· Reliable transportation for traveling to bid walks.

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, Bluebeam).

· Experience in estimating.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
