The Vice President/General Manager (VPGM) for the Further Processing Equipment segment is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the business unit, comprised of 160 employees supporting $89 million in revenue. The segment’s main business and manufacturing site is located in Sandusky OH. 

The GM is responsible for business unit financial performance and achievement of annual targets, including Inbound, Net Revenue, Cost of Service, and EBITDA. He/she will be accountable for directing, developing, implementing, and administering commercial and operational strategies and tactics to ensure achievement of the company’s goals and objectives.

The Opportunity ...

  • Develop and lead a high-impact team that thrives in a collaborative operating culture, making changes where necessary to ensure strategic alignment and execution performance;
  • Develop, deploy, communicate and execute the business strategic growth plan and go-to-market strategy that is aligned to the broader JBT strategy;
  • Utilize an in-depth knowledge of the business' end-users, channels, products, applications and supply chain partners to fully understand what drives value and competitive advantage in this space;
  • Drive continued commitment to Lean and Operational Excellence and ensure that the business' manufacturing capabilities are fully utilized;
  • Ensure the right processes and systems are in place from customer inquiry through to delivery and collection of payments to achieve the highest margins and cash flow possible within the segment;
  • Create, implement and support standard processes across the business and user-friendly systems to capture organizational knowledge;
  • Ensure performance objectives and metrics for continuous improvement operations, delivery/service performance, quality, forecasting accuracy and overall productivity are implemented and achieved within the segment;
  • Develop and lead synergies within the business segment and between relevant businesses
  • Facilitate best practices in new product introduction, technology transfer and supply chain management;
  • Develop and lead a high-impact team that thrives in a collaborative operating culture, making changes where necessary to ensure strategic alignment and execution performance;
  • Effectively work with corporate functions (sourcing, continuous improvement, etc.) to drive growth;
  • Model and inspire others to live the ONE JBT values of Customer First, Integrity, Accountability, Relentless Improvement and Teamwork;
  • Model servant leadership and drive high levels of employee engagement.

  • A minimum of 10 years management experience with a multi-national corporation in a manufacturing, industrial, B2B environment.
