Accountant

Purpose and Scope/General Summary: We are looking for an Accountant to join our Account Services team at our Corporate office in Greeley, CO.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing rebates and brokerage fee processes including calculation, maintenance of system tables, preparation of journal entries, maintaining contracts, preparing support for customer payments or customer payment deductions, and resolving customer issues and discrepancies
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations
• Creating and entering journal entries in SAP
• Using SAP for inquires, running reports, entering journal entries, creating and editing Business Intelligence reports
• Prepare check requests, support for wire transfers and support for customer payment deductions
• Prepare various reports using MS Excel, SAP, Business Intelligence (SAP), Order Management, BPC (SAP), MS Word
• Streamlining, automating and implementing controls for the processes that the position oversees
• Respond to customer and vendor inquiries, resolve payment discrepancies and determine payment status
• Record invoice payments from Canadian customers and convert to USD from CAD
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• 3 years of accounting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP, financial statement structure, general ledger accounts, and a general knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes (vouching and invoicing)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of SAP. Business Intelligence and BPC a plus
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, functions, etc.)
• Ability to work directly with customers and Sales staff
• Ability to analyze data and general ledger accounts
• Experience in a fast-paced environment requiring strong time-management skills and the ability to multi-task
• Well organized, goal oriented, self-motivated, independent worker, detailed oriented, quick to learn new processes
• As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting, the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.

The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
• Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
• 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
• Base salary range of $50,000-$55,000; and
• Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program;
