Jazzy Ladies Cafe & Club is Hiring a Baker Near Eugene, OR

At Jazzy Ladies, our kitchen is hustling all the time! The bakery job is a bit more solitary, usually only working with one other person in the early morning so being a self starter is a must. We are a 100% gluten free facility so knowledge of gluten free baking is a huge plus! Final compensation dependent on experience.
The Baker's Main objective is to Take point on Executing all required procedures for daily baking. The baker will accomplish this by Setting up and breaking down the bakery, keeping bakery orderly throughout the day, run point on all Batch recipe items and communicating needs to the prep lead & kitchen manager. This position requires a commitment to excellence of every recipe being produced as well as a positive attitude. The baker will engage appropriate company directionality by ensuring proper creation and storage of all items with a commitment that each recipe being executed meets the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Fill out & preform daily kitchen opening duties checklist, when applicable
  • Ensure all bakery items in walk in/reach in are stored and labeled properly
  • Manage putting away and organize incoming orders
  • Arrive at work ready to work by time of shift start
  • Ensure recipe integrity is being upheld
  • Ensure appearance meets standards
  • Ensure performance meets standards
  • Ensure bakery is visually presentable throughout the day
  • Ensure bakery team's adherence to sanitation & food safety regulations
  • Maintain a safe and respectful work environment
  • Assist by taking properly staged photos as asked to contribute to company photo collection
  • Ensure entire required prep list is executed daily
  • Communicate low stock alerts
  • Fill out & preform daily bakery closing duties checklist, when applicable
Skills and Experience:
  • Strong organizational skill
  • Reliability
  • Personal organization and being a self starter
  • Ability to lift 80 pounds
  • Ability to stand for up to 8 hours
  • Vision for the prep execution flow, to ensure completion of all required tasks
  • Strong attention to recipe procedure & food safety procedures
  • Strong prep cooking & knife skills
  • Food handler's card
  • Reliable transportation
  • Current driver's license & clean driving record
  • 3-5 year baking experience required, including production baking
  • Willingness to learn gluten-free ingredients and techniques
  • ServSafe certification strongly encouraged
