Position Profile

Brief Description:

The Manager, Federal Contract Operations is responsible for assisting with all federal program contracts (Medicaid, Medicare GAP, Tricare, Vial Wastage and Inflation Rebates). The individual will also have the responsibility of performing support analytics for the SOX and GTN teams through compiling, analyzing and interpreting both internal and secondary data sources and provide insight based on the analysis. This position is remote.

Essential Functions

  • Perform with accuracy the Medicare GAP and Tricare rebate calculations.
  • Assist with quarterly and annual SOX compliance audits and any internal/external audits related to the Federal Programs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to provide and support SOX, GTN/Forecasting initiatives.
  • Third party vendor management
  • Assist in the review and analysis of claims level detail (CLD) for state Medicaid programs on a quarterly basis in order to ensure utilization reasonableness and understand state rebate trends.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation to support disputes & adjustments, in accordance with government regulations.
  • Leverage proprietary data from specialty distributors and external CLD data to ensure appropriate levels of Medicaid liability.
  • Ensure any vial wastage and inflation rebate invoices received are accurate and processed timely.
  • Monitor the industry to stay abreast of current developments. Attend conferences, industry meeting and seminars as needed.
  • Ad hoc analytic projects as needed across the organization.
  • Strong leadership skills to work across functions with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to gain consensus and drive results.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Three (3) to Four (4) years of recent experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry with significant experience across all Federal Programs
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Power Point and Word.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change in a dynamic growing organization and evolving health care marketplace.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead cross-organizational projects and cross-functional teams with and without direct management authority.
  • Strong strategic-thinking skills; demonstrated ability to network and identify opportunities for improved outcomes.
  • Strong personal integrity, interpersonal skills, teamwork abilities and customer focus.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, adapt, prioritize, and work effectively in a matrixed organization and in an evolving/changing health care environment.
  • Ability to travel up to / approximately 20% of the time.

Required/Preferred Education and Licenses

  • BA/BS Degree preferred

Jazz Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices and we strive to provide employees with total compensation packages that are market competitive.

For this role, the full and complete base pay range is $108,000-$162,000. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, and other pertinent factors. The goal is to ensure fair and competitive compensation aligned with the candidate's expertise and contributions, within the established pay framework and our Total Compensation philosophy. Internal equity considerations will also influence individual base pay decisions. This range will be reviewed on a regular basis.

At Jazz, your base pay is only one part of your total compensation package. The successful candidate may also be eligible for a discretionary annual cash bonus or incentive compensation (depending on the role), in accordance with the terms of the Company's Global Cash Bonus Plan or Incentive Compensation Plan, as well as discretionary equity grants in accordance with Jazz's Long Term Equity Incentive Plan.
