Jaxon Engineering is looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder 2 who is self-motivated, hard-working & eager to learn all facets of the job- to join our team in Colorado Springs.

Travel: able to sustain a 25% (domestic and international) travel schedule.

Salary: $25.00 - $28.00 (40 hours/week guaranteed) plus significant OT and per diems when traveling.

Primary Duties

• Read and interpret blue-prints and build within required tolerances
• General construction activities & manual labor that includes heavy lifting, grinding, painting the finished product & use of various power tools
• GMAW, FCAW, GTAW welding, specifically able to perform AWS D1.1, AWS D1.3, AWS D1.6, AWS D9.1 qualified welds.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ job experience in welding and fabrication (does NOT include school experience)
• HEMP welding experience, highly desired
• Able to sustain up to a 25% travel schedule, including domestic and international travel
• Self-motivated and well organized with demonstrated problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills and an excellent team member
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work independently, investigate & troubleshoot issues
• Good math skills and strong skills reading blueprints
• Strong skills recognizing/understanding a wide variety of welding & fabrication techniques
• Able to use grinders, chop saws, drills, plasma cutters and both scissor-lift & variable-reach forklifts
• Able to bend over, kneel and crouch for long periods of time
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
