*ASC* Revenue Cycle Manager *SIGN ON BONUS* Job Summary:
The ASC Revenue Cycle Manager will provide oversight and management over all facets of ASC billing including claims processing, revenue monitoring, and quality improvement initiatives. This role will collaborate with other managers and administration to ensure timely billing, reporting, and patient account management.
Essential Functions:
Performs overall revenue management including satisfying timely filing requirements and maximizing billing revenue, collections, and resolution of denied/rejected claims.
Monitors reports to ensure clean claims submissions.
Monitors monthly aging reports, conducts follow-ups on unpaid claims and takes appropriate action to correct and re-bill for reimbursement.
Identifies, researches, and resolves system issues through direct contact with payors and software vendors.
Provides technical expertise to ensure accurate billing including billing for new services and staying informed of regulatory compliance and best practices.
Develops, implements, and maintains revenue cycle standard operating procedures.
Researches and maintains billing compliance and regulations, primarily for Medicare and Medicaid.
Performs regular audits of daily billing reports to identify coding and billing errors.
Works with billing and other staff to notify on-site management of problems and troubleshoot as needed.
Monitors A/R aging and payment reports monthly to identify trends, underpayments, investigate causes, and take appropriate steps toward resolution using professional judgment.
Provides monthly updates on the revenue cycle status including reports, metrics, and presentations.
Works closely with the Practice Management System vendor to identify and work to resolve systemic issues.
Provides training as required for on-site staff regarding billing and other revenue cycle-related tasks.
Develops continuous processes and priorities for quality improvement to improve revenue cycle outcomes.
Knowledgeable of all software utilized in the management of operations-related revenue including understanding of pertinent service contracts.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and other activities.
Performs special projects and other duties as requested.
Oversees the preparation of the Monthly AR Meeting with Senior Leadership.
Manages monthly Denial Meetings with all departments.
Work on multiple projects and prioritize work based on due dates.
Monitor team results to ensure they are aligned with departmental goals.
Qualifications:
ASC Billing and Revenue experience.
Minimum of three (3) years in a management role.
Proficiency with the use of billing software applications such as E-Clinical Works and general MS Office applications.
Experience working with all types of third-party payers. (HMO, PPO, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.) and understanding of billing requirements.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
