Our Bookkeepers are responsible for updating and maintaining accounting records, including calculating expenses, receipts, and profit and loss for the store. All JAX employees are expected to provide excellent customer service, sharing excitement about our store. Responsibilities include:

• Maintains records of financial transactions
• Follows established procedures to account for financial transactions
• Prepares and transports bank deposits by compiling data from cashiers, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to the bank
• Checks figures, postings, and documents to ensure they are correct, mathematically accurate, and properly coded
• Corrects errors, or notifies appropriate personnel of errors that need to be corrected
• Maintains historical records by filing documents
• Reconciles the safe
• Follows all JAX Safety procedures

• Previous knowledge of bookkeeping procedures, minimum 2 years preferred
• Strong expertise with spreadsheets, databases, and accounting systems
• Proficient at 10-key operations
• Computer proficiency required
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and use sound judgement
• Strong research and critical thinking skills
• Organizational skills
• Solid verbal and written communication
• Attention to detail

Schedule Requirements:

• Must be available
• Flexible shifts available

Pay Range: $16.28 - $18.25 hourly

Positions: 1 Part-Time position available, can average 15-20 hours a week
