Javelina Leap Vineyard & Winery is location in Northern Arizona wine country just 20 minutes south of Sedona. We are Arizona's wine pioneers, one of the state's original wineries and tasting rooms. We are looking for dynamic, positive individuals with a passion for wine, food and people! Our Tasting Room Servers work as part of a team to ensure an amazing guest experience, build loyalty, and positively reflect our name and brand. We are looking to fill part time, weekend Tasting Room Server positions.

COMPENSATION: $12.00/hour Cash and credit card tips (equates hourly pay of $30/hr or more). Opportunity for bonuses.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following reflects our definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Provide the first line of communication to the guest by greeting, directing, and answering questions regarding our wines, history, vineyard, and winery. Communicate in a knowledgeable, professional, and gracious manner to all customers. Serve samples of wine, sharing appropriate information with guests in both individual and group settings. Accurately use the point of sale system to transact sales and maintain tasting room inventory Promote our wine club memberships and events ID guests to ensure each is of legal age to consume alcohol. Ensure tasting room and inventory areas are clean, neat, and stocked at all times. Perform housekeeping of tasting room, bistro, restrooms, patios, storage. Perform opening and closing checklist duties. Have a good and positive attitude! We treat everyone as family here.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Wine appreciation is necessary for this position. Must have strong verbal communication skills and the ability to articulate product information to guests. Ability to establish priorities and work independently Interpersonal awareness and relationship management skills. Strong organizational ability, exceptional attention to detail, and follow-through. Availability to work weekends and holidays. Previous customer service and retail experience preferred. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to stand, move, or walk for extended periods of time. Reliable transportation. Ability to lift and/or move up to 40lbs.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Minimum of one to three years related experience. High School diploma or AA degree, or a combination of education and experience Must be 21 or older. Please send your resume and a cover letter telling us a little bit about yourself.
