Job Title: **Software Developer - Full Time

Location: **Jason’s Deli Distribution, Grand Prairie, TX

Reports To: **IT Development Manager

Status: **Exempt

We are looking for a highly motivated Software Developer that enjoys working in a team environment! The Software Developer is responsible for developing, creating, and modifying computer applications throughout our company. This person will be tasked with analyzing the needs and developing appropriate software solutions. The ideal candidate will have a knack for designing and customizing software for specific client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency. The Software Developer will analyze and design databases as well within an application area, while coordinating database development as part of a team. Successful applicants will be well versed in research, design, development, and testing of operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software.

Responsibilities:

• Understand client requirements and how they translate in application features
• Participating in full life cycle development, including business analysis, systems documentation, coding, unit testing and quality control, deployment and support
• Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications
• Design creative prototypes according to specifications
• Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
• Conduct functional and non-functional testing
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features
• Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code

Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to program in C#, JavaScript,NodeJs.
• Knowledgeable in .net /.net core technologies like Razor, Blazor , ASP.NET, Entity Framework.
• In-depth knowledge of programming for diverse operating systems and platforms using development tools
• Excellent understanding of software design and programming principles.
• Possess the ability to analyze situations and challenges in a systematic, logical approach.
• Must be a highly motivated self starter, willing to tackle challenges and solve problems and deliver solutions in a professional manner.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including some nights and weekends.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as the ability to work well on a team
• Ability to travel occasionally.

Required Physical Abilities:

• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, move from one area of the building to another on a regular basis, sit/stand and use a computer for a long period of time,
• Manual and physical dexterity needed to operate a computer keyboard and handle paper documents.
• Sufficient near vision acuity to read information appearing on computer display screen, in handwritten forms, and printed on paper.
• Adequate hearing and verbal abilities to communicate effectively in person and by telephone.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Education/Training/Licensing:

• 4 years’ experience in software development
• 4 years’ experience in designing and building applications
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge in applicable areas of technology.
