Job Title: Data Modeler Level 2

Location(s): Annapolis Junction, Maryland Hours: Regular Full-Time

Clearance Requirements

This position requires a current and active TS/SCI with Poly at the time of application.

What you will be doing:

• Identify and analyze organizational data management and data analytic requirements.
• Collaborate with data architect and data engineers and data analysts to design conceptual, physical and logical data models.
• Design and implement data modeling solutions using relational, dimensional and NoSQL databases
• Analyze and translate business needs to develop data models
• Collaborate with data architects and data engineers to design conceptual data models and data flows
• Develop and implement metadata definition aligned with business processes and data analytic requirements
• Evaluate current data systems
• Implement data strategy and create physical data models
• Collaborate with data stewards and data engineers to develop and implement data models that ensure data quality and integrity

Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Experience:

• Six (6) years of experience in data modeling on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Four (4) years of experience in data engineering and technical data analysis.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline.
  • Four (4) years of additional database structure and data mining experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

Physical Demands:

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
