Overview

The Manager of IT Infrastructure & Operations will report to the CIO and oversee the functions of Infrastructure, Help Desk Support and DevOps. This position will be responsible for planning and coordinating activities, budgets, and personnel needs of the three divisions to accomplish the goals assigned by Senior IT Leadership in a timely and effective manner.

Responsibilities

• Work with senior IT leadership to establish the goals and objectives of the helpdesk, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams and generate policies and procedures which facilitate the successful completion of those goals.
• Create a comprehensive IT infrastructure roadmap that outlines the technology investments, upgrades, lifecycle replacement, and innovations required to meet long-term objectives.
• Forecast costs, equipment, and personnel needs for projects and programs as required and related to these operations.
• Oversee the operations of the Help Desk, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams.
• Ensure all IT infrastructure and enterprise systems incorporate Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) required controls and partner with IT and other business units to ensure they are actively managed to support SOX compliance.
• Perform analysis of infrastructure needs and contribute to the design of architecture, integration and installation.
• Evaluate infrastructure hardware and software requirements and capabilities and make recommendations. Check systems in order to optimize performance and to initiate recovery action after system failures.
• Establish and control systems access and security.
• Monitor and maintain infrastructure stability, including analysis of utilization, availability, and performance statistics.
• Manage computer operation scheduling, backup, storage and retrieval functions.
• Coordinate third-party maintenance and support for infrastructure hardware, software and telecommunications services.
• Establish and develop strong relationships with service providers.
• Negotiate contracts with consultants, technical personnel and vendors for services and products.
• Prepare and maintain documentation of infrastructure configurations.
• Develop, maintain and test disaster recovery plans.
• Recommend and implement policies, software, and hardware to provide maximum resource utilization in a cost-efficient manner.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• All other duties as assigned by IT leadership.

Qualifications

• Computer science degree or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum five years of previous work-related experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven track record of success in managing and resolving complex IT issues, particularly within a Microsoft Azure and Office 365 environment.
