Project Controller – Proven Ability Perform Data Analysis and Cost Forecasting.

JANSON is looking for a Project Controller that will work from the company’s Headquarters office in Fairfax, Virginia. JANSON is a dynamic woman owned small business that exists to help customers tell their story. We do this through our Buildings & Environments, Customized Communications, Digital Experiences and Strategy & Support business units. For the past 26 years we have supported customers throughout the Department of Defense as well as commercial Defense and Aerospace markets. Our manta is straightforward: We Listen. We Think. Our future Project Controller will be chartered to manage costs over a variety of government contracts that are primarily T&M and FFP. The ideal candidate must have the following:

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Ability to work in MS Excel and understanding of Deltek, Quickbooks and or Unanet.
• Understanding government contracts, cost control strategies and risk analysis.
• Understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
• Exceptional problem solver and interpersonal skills with effective leadership abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor costs across several programs/contracts (labor and materials).
• Lead the development of cost control processes.
• Provide cost forecasting, cost control strategies, and project risk analysis.
• Experienced with cost-estimating methods best suited to the nature of the project.
• Develop and maintain a roadmap of portfolio growth opportunities and brief the CEO.
• Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget scope.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends and budget deviations and highlight cost underruns and overruns.
• Leads the development and implementation of cost control processes and works to support and enhance project budget management.
• Serves as an advisor to domain and project leads regarding their budgets, profit, and growth.
