Graphic Designer

JANSON has an opening for a full-time Graphic Designer to provide expert design activities supporting our US Army client. This is a hybrid position working on our client site at Fort Belvoir, Virginia 3 days a week and from your home office 2 days a week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Active Secret Clearance required
• Bachelor’s degree required
• 5-7 years’ experience in graphic design required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interpret and conceptualize abstract Army acquisition policies, guidelines, and standards into graphic designs
• Research, manage, and maintain appropriate databases so as to apply the fundamental principles of graphic design as needed
• Support the U.S. Army Acquisition Support Center and its various elements by developing organizational branding and logos, and graphics for products such as fliers, brochures, displays and infographics as well as for a print and online magazine. Use multiple software applications, including Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., Photoshop, Bridge, Dreamweaver, Flash, Media Encoder, Illustrator), Visio, InDesign, Microsoft Office, including Teams, SharePoint and Word, and PowerPoint. Creates designs in the most appropriate program(s) using original artwork, photographs, and/or computer graphics to achieve the most effective message possible in the shortest time possible
• Serve as a graphic design resource to the agency
• Design format of documents and publications
• Work with clients in selecting type font, layout, ink, paper stock, and printing and binding methods
