JANSON is Hiring an Events Manager-Part Time Near Fort Belvoir, VA

Events Manager – Part Time

JANSON has an opening for a part-time Events Manager to provide event planning for our US Army client. This is a hybrid position working on our client site at Fort Belvoir, Virginia 3 days a week and from your home office 2 days a week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 5 years’ experience in event management required
  • Detailed oriented and creativeness required

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Planning, coordinating, and providing logistics support for all meetings, conferences, trade shows, recruitment fairs, off-sites, information exchanges, exhibits (design, production, set-up and tear-down) and demonstrations to educate internal and external audiences
  • Responsible for all protocol requirements surrounding hosted events, to include planning, organization, registration, publicity, administration, flag placement, and preparation of conference materials
  • Synchronize up to 10 events per year across the organization
  • Serve as the organization’s speaking and conference manager per the Army Conference Policy
  • Submits written summaries and outcomes of each event for archival and monthly metrics reports
  • Advises leaders and other staff on events and protocol issues, ensuring handbooks, standard operating procedures, etc. are current
  • Develops and integrates social media tactics into events
  • Support other Program Executive Offices and Acquisition organizations with relevant Army Acquisition recruiting materials, as needed
  • Develop an annual engagement strategy, including internal and external events
  • Coordinates live-streaming events
  • Acquire booth space and assist with logistical support, attend recruitment fairs/outreach activities including job fairs and military training events to support and marketing for USAASC HQ DRU and AAW recruiting
