Job Title: Floor Cleaning Technician

General Responsibilities:

Floor Cleaning: Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of various flooring surfaces, including carpet, hardwood, vinyl, tile, and laminate.
Floor Stripping and Waxing: Strip old wax or finish from hard floors and apply new layers of wax or finish to protect and enhance the appearance of the floor.
Carpet Cleaning: Use carpet cleaning machines and techniques to remove stains, dirt, and debris from carpets.
Floor Polishing and Buffing: Use floor polishing and buffing machines to restore the shine and smoothness of hard floors.
Grout and Tile Cleaning: Clean and maintain tile and grout surfaces, ensuring they remain free from dirt and stains.
Repair and Maintenance: Identify and report any damage or defects in flooring materials,and perform minor repairs or coordinate with maintenance staff for major repairs.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean floor care equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Chemical Handling: Handle cleaning chemicals, detergents, and disinfectants safely and according to manufacturer instructions.
Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with chemicals or machinery.
Documentation: Maintain records of cleaning schedules, materials used, and any issues encountered.

Requirements:

Knowledge of Floor Care: Familiarity with various types of flooring materials and their maintenance requirements.
Experience: Previous experience in floor maintenance or a related field is often preferred.
Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in cleaning and maintaining floors to high standards.
Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to work safely with chemicals and machinery.
Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
Communication Skills: Effective communication with colleagues and supervisors to report issues and request supplies.
Flexibility: Willingness to work evenings, weekends, or on-call as needed, especially in facilities with 24/7 operations.

Pay range $18-$22/hr based on experience
