Jamestown Regional Medical Center is Hiring an Audiologist Near Jamestown, ND

Overview

$15,000 Sign On Bonus for New Employees

Starting Pay: $33.86 to $42.33 DOE plus incentive bonuses.

Full-time, benefited position working 80 hours per two week pay period. Days of work are Monday - Friday with hours from 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.

This position provides audiological and amplification services to inpatients and residents of the community served by JRMC.

Responsibilities

  • Administers a variety of hearing tests including air conduction, bone conduction, speech reception, word recognition, and tympanometry.
  • Administers specialized tests such as pure tone and speech stenger, tone decay, PIPB function etc. as deemed necessary by physician referral or preliminary audiological results.
  • Assesses test results, counsel the client regarding results, and makes appropriate medical, hearing aid or follow-up recommendations.
  • Takes earmold impressions for ear protectors, swim plugs or hearing aids.
  • Selects appropriate amplification devices or assistive listening devices as necessary.
  • Electroacoustical analysis of hearing aids and auditory trainers.
  • Generates reports for review by physician, teachers, etc., who have a valid release of information on the client.
  • Requisitions supplies and equipment.
  • Develops and/or conducts in-services pertinent to the field of Audiology and/or amplification for personnel and various agencies as needed and/or requested.
  • Supervises graduate students in the field of audiology for internal practicum in the service area.
  • Establishes a program to assess the quality of audiological services.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Must have current certification by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), as well as have necessary requisites for licensure in North Dakota for both audiology and hearing aid dispensing. Will complete CPR every other year.

Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC) is desired, but consideration would be given Au.D only or a strong clinical fellow (CFY) if adequate supervision is available.

A background check is required for this position.
