James Lane Air Conditioning Co., LLC, a Fidelity Company in Wichita Falls, TX, is looking for a Plumber's Apprentice to join our growing team!

A Plumber's Apprentice will assist the Plumbers . Duties will include assisting in assembly, installing and repairing plumbing fixtures, potable water systems, sewage drainage systems, and slab leaks on residential and commercial plumbing systems.

An ideal candidate will have general mechanical experience, adaptability in a fast-paced work environment, and demonstrate a willingness to train and learn aspects of plumbing.

They will be able to prioritize, close attention to detail, and maintain a high level of customer service, responsiveness, and professional business acumen.

Primary Duties :

• Follow defined plumbing procedures for assembly, installation, and repair per instructions of the Lead Plumber.
• Assist in planning and coordinating tasks and material amounts required for completion of work.
• Assist in planning and preparing equipment and tools necessary for the performance of work.
• Assist in maintaining material stock levels in vehicles as well as keeping vehicles clean and organized.
• Clean equipment and work area upon completion of work.
• Complete paperwork as required on a timely basis.
• Acquire sufficient knowledge, skills, training, and information to achieve peak performance, continuous improvement, potential advancement, and a positive, productive work environment consistent with company goals and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, co-workers, subcontractors, and others.

Qualifications :

• One or more years of general mechanical experience with the willingness to learn and receive training.
• Ability to braze / solder / weld and perform minor field fabrication.
• Ability to safely use ladders in the performance of job duties including climbing and descending from a ladder.
• Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
• Ability to use a tape measure, to cut, and drill holes.
• Demonstration of proper and safe use of tools, related equipment, and personal protection equipment.
• Always maintain a professional attitude.
