James Developmental Center, Inc. is a small business in Waverly, TN. We are professional, rewarding, challenging and our goal is to Provide excellent care to adults with developmental delays in both the community and home setting.

Duties:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs
- Assist with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household chores
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
- Administer medication according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records
- Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
- Collaborate with a team of professionals including social workers, nurses, and therapists
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment
Qualifications:
- Experience or education in social work, childcare, or a related field is preferred
- First aid and CPR certification is required, but we provide the training
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques is beneficial
- Ability to administer medication following proper protocols, after state mandated training
- Understanding of autism spectrum disorders and other developmental disabilities is a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required for transportation purposes
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality is essential
