James B. Ford DDS is Hiring a Dental Patient Care Coordinator/ Receptionist Near Columbus, OH

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator. As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. You will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient service and coordinating patient care.

Duties:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar using Dentrix Ascend software.
- Collect and update patient information, including medical records, insurance details, and personal demographics
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for procedures
- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient appointments
- File insurance claims electronically, enter insurance and private reimbursements into patient accounts
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to privacy policies
- Provide administrative support to healthcare providers, including managing correspondence, filing documents, and organizing schedules
- Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information to patients as needed
- Collaborate with the office team to ensure efficient workflow and excellent patient service

Qualifications:
MUST HAVE MEDICAL/DENTAL RECEPTIONIST or CLINICAL EXPERIENCE.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in medical office administration is a plus
- Previous experience working in a medical office or dental receptionist role is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic or Dentrix
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and billing/coding practices
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work well under pressure

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
