Job Summary: The Ecommerce Merchandiser is a pivotal role responsible for developing strategies and executing online/site merchandising initiatives to achieve online sales goals. This role involves optimizing product assortment, monitoring customer behavior and sales trends, and collaborating with various teams to ensure an engaging shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in e-commerce platforms and analytics tools.

This position will report to the Director of Ecommerce.

Responsibilities:

  1. Merchandising Strategy: Develop and implement merchandising strategies to maximize online sales and improve the overall customer shopping experience.

  2. Product Curation: Select and curate products for featured collections, and seasonal campaigns based on market trends, customer preferences, and sales data.

  3. Content Management: Manage product listings, descriptions, and images to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.

  4. Inventory Management: Work closely with production and receiving teams to manage on-order catalog and update inventory tracker weekly. Coordinate transfers of high-selling or low inventory items to optimize inventory productivity. Keep track of inventory tracker and provide weekly updates.

  5. Visual Presentation: Create visually compelling product displays and layouts to enhance the aesthetic appeal of the website and improve discoverability.

  6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to coordinate launches, promotions, and site updates, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  7. Reporting and Analysis: Create reports to analyze sales performance, including week-over-week, month-over-month, year-over-year selling, new launch sales, stock turnover, backorder tracker, and zero sellers. Utilize analytics tools like Google Analytics to gather insights.

  8. Performance Analysis: Monitor website performance metrics, including traffic, conversion rates, and average order value, and use data insights to optimize merchandising strategies and drive continuous improvement.

  9. User Experience Optimization: Conduct regular audits and testing to identify areas for improvement in site navigation, search functionality, and overall user experience.

  10. Competitive Research: Stay informed about industry trends, strategies, and emerging technologies to inform merchandising decisions and maintain a competitive edge.

  11. Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks to ensure that all product information, pricing, and promotional offers are accurate and up to date.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, or related field.

  • Proven experience in e-commerce merchandising, preferably within the ecommerce industry.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions. Excel proficiency is a must.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency in e-commerce platforms, content management systems, and web analytics tools, i.e.: Shopify Plus NetSuite, Google Analytics, and Clarity.

  • Creative mindset with a passion for visual merchandising and storytelling.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
