Providing support to engineering staff members and team as needed. Assisting with the civil planning, design and construction oversight of water and wastewater projects including evaluating alternatives and supply, treatment, disposal and reuse processes, review of sewer network hydraulic model criteria and hydraulic grade line profiles, generating water balance models, consideration to climate change impacts and performing preliminary and detailed design which includes preparing engineering design calculations, drawings, and specifications. Assisting and leading stormwater network modelling and design projects including stormwater modelling, calculations, engineering plans and details, and writing of stormwater drainage reports. Experience in performing hydrological rainfall-runoff modelling including extrapolation of rainfall and runoff datasets, model calibration and validation, generating hydrographs and undergoing statistical analysis of datasets. Leading and developing construction planning and permitting applications and associated calculations, including project permitting team management, stormwater and earthwork calculations and water quality assessments. Managing and collaborating with our Global Integrated Delivery teams and design support offices (off-island design teams) in a virtual environment to deliver water and wastewater projects to our local clients. Performing engineering analysis: identify problem, develop solution methodology, seek and engage quality control/quality assurance, interpret results, develop alternative solutions and present results. Performing a wide variety of routine assignments which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, processes/procedures and criteria. Preparing technical engineering reports, memorandums, specifications, maps, drawings and performing calculations in support of engineering activities. Conducting water and wastewater infrastructure conditions assessments and evaluations. Leading construction management projects including design team management, responding to Contractor Requests for Information (RFIs), reviewing Contractor submittals, facilitating client and contractor construction progress and wastewater plant shutdown meetings, making field trips, and conducting field audits and inspections at client sites on behalf of Jacobs.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field and 60 months of work experience in the job offered or a related occupation in the water and wastewater industry. Or, Masters Degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, Engineering, or a related field and 36 months of work experience in the job offered or a related occupation in the water and wastewater industry.

Expertise/ knowledge of: Civil-related design and conveyance design of water and wastewater infrastructure and systems. Reviewing, analyzing and designing drainage systems for stormwater. Preparing civil plans, details, specifications, and technical reports. Autodesk, AutoCAD Civil 3D and AutoTURN. Reviewing geotechnical reports and topographical and utility surveys for the design of water and wastewater utilities and infrastructure. ArcGIS data platforms. Development of hydrological rainfall-runoff models, calibration and verification, and hydrographs. Construction site field inspections, design compliance and development of record drawings and documents.
