In this role, you will deliver solutions to Hawaii and regional water related projects backed by planning, engineering design, permitting, and technical talent, letting you focus on delivering excellent results for our clients. We are looking for a driven, intellectually curious, and client-focused Water Market Project Manager located within our Jacobs Hawaii network to support our water/wastewater treatment, conveyance, and water resources teams. 

As a key member, you’ll have the chance to work on challenging projects as the Project Manager and/or Technical Lead for projects – planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of projects with high degrees of technical complexity from (but not limited to) the concept stage through detailed design, construction services, and commissioning. Among the many types of water projects led by this team are pipelines, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment facilities, and stormwater compliance. You will be leading a multidiscipline team to complete tasks within established schedules and budgets and help advance our business development strategies. Also, you will have the opportunity to mentor and coach early and mid-career engineers and designers.

Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • A minimum of 5 years directly applicable project management experience managing a team
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • Proven experience in planning and designing small to large projects 

Ideally, here’s what you’ll also have: 

  • Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 10 or more years of direct experience directly applicable project management experience managing a team
  • Proven experience managing teams of design professionals
  • Strong network with local municipalities and other water/wastewater, conveyance, and water resources clients
  • Active in a professional organization
