Jacobs is Hiring a Technical Project Manager Near Severn, MD

Your Impact:

The Special Projects Division is a mission partner with their customers. We focus on the hard problems and bring our customers solutions ready to meet their needs. The Project Manager will manage project and products for the Special Projects Division which develop electronics hardware systems for USG clients supporting the Special Communications and Signals Intelligence Missions.

The candidate should have strong leadership, communications, project management and problem solving skills. The Project Manager will be expected to manage activities in coordination with other internal and external engineering and production groups in the execution of development and production activities. A technical background is highly desirable.

  • The technical project manager plans and develops the project idea.
  • They need to create and lead the technical team.
  • They will work with the program manager and customer to determine appropriate schedule and risk management.
  • They will monitor project progress in accordance with set deadlines.
  • Work with the technical team to solve issues that arise.
  • They will manage the project budget and track cost.
  • They will be required to track and manage risk on the project and report risk to the program manager and customer.
  • Evaluate project performance, including the performance of their team members. 

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelors in Engineering or equivalent experience and training in the development and production of electronic systems.
  • 3 years of experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams designing and building electronic systems.
  • 8 years of experience designing, integrating, and testing RF Communication Systems (or similar technology).
  • 8 years of experience performing work for US Intelligence Agencies supporting ISR missions.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience preparing briefings and presentations for the Government and senior personnel.
  • Strong project management skills including cost management, resource planning and management, risk planning and management, schedule management, and knowledge of the earned value management process.
  • Strong team building and customer partnership skills.
  • Motivational and Inspirational leadership skills along with the ability to develop, communicate, and execute a vision, strategy, and business plan aligned to the Division vision, strategy, and business plan.

Preferred:

  • Project Management Professional Certification.
  • In depth knowledge of the USG Intelligence Community and strong client intimacy with various IC Agencies.
