Description of Duties:

The MDA CSSP-CERT Sustainment Team Lead supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

 

·Supervise / lead Sustainment Team in the development of cyberspace security strategies and plans for the Missile

·Defense Agency Cybersecurity Service Provider - Computer Emergency Response Team (MDA CSSP-CERT)

·Have a proven record of demonstrated skills in identifying of cyber needs, working with customers / partners to shape requirements

·Oversee, lead, and ensure all efforts and actions to maintain MDA's CSSP certification and accreditation as a Tier II CSSP, by managing requirements IAW current DoD Evaluator’s Scoring Metrics (ESM) requirements

·Develop, write, and maintain formal agreements (memorandums of understanding (MOUs), Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), Service Level Agreements (SLAs)) with MDA subscribers

·Review and provide inputs to DoD and MDA instructions, regulations, manuals, guidelines, and reports, prior to government review

·Take internal quantitative performance metrics (ratios, calculations, or empirical representations) and classify information properly, necessary to maintain the quality and integrity of Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) and cybersecurity services

·Supervise development of recommendation actions and activities to help improve / streamline / repair existing processes and implementation procedures

·Oversee development of methodologies and provide draft Cyberspace Tasking Orders (CTOs) as needed, in order to continue to provide cybersecurity services to all subscribers at an acceptable level of quality, in support of MDA CSSP[1]CERT activities

·Have a strong ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, negotiate complex issues, and write comprehensive polices

·Have strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer needs and translate them into tactical, operational, and strategic requirements

·Oversee, lead, and execute MDA CSSP-CERT Quality Assuran ce (QA) Program (Continual Process Improvement (CPI) / Continual Service Improvement (CSI))

·Ensure adherence to government policies, schedules, and develop solutions to program problems

·Be able to present reports and presentations in a clear, articulate, and concise manner

·Lead and ensure document reviews

·Enhance cybersecurity training processes and procedures through feedback and review of (Initial Qualification Training (IQT) and Mission Qualification Training (MQT), and Standards and Evaluations (Stan / Eval), and maintain training records

·Nominate employees for recognition and awards; provide mentorship for leadership development.

·Assist in authoring technical documentation including test plans, test procedures, technical white papers, and test reports

·Be the MDA CSSP-CERT point of contact for continuity of operations (COOP), contingency, disaster recovery (DR), and emergency response plans

 

The successful candidate will:

 

·Have experience with most MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)

·Be able to multi-task and prioritize various projects and assignments in a dynamic work environment in order to meet scheduled / unscheduled customer requests

·Be willing to travel 10% of the time

 

This position can be filled at Schriever SFB, Colorado Springs, CO.

 

This position is expected to pay $104,000 - $129,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

 

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. If a candidate has not been selected at that time, it will continue to be posted until a suitable candidate is selected or the position is closed.

Here’s what you’ll need:

Basic Requirements:

Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience: HS Diploma (or GED) and 6 years of general experience; Associate’s degree and 4 years of general experience; Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of general experience; Master’s degree and 0 years of general experience.

 

·Must have 6 years of direct experience combined in Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), operational planning, and/or data consolidation, collection, and presentation.

·Must have 1 year of experience in a management or leadership role.

·Must have a minimum of a current DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Certification with Continuing Education (CE) (CCNA-Security, CySA , GICSP, GSEC, Security CE, C|ND, SSCP) OR DoD 8570.01-M IAM Level II (CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, C|CISO).

·Must have an active DoD SECRET Security Clearance

 

Desired Requirements:

 

·Have an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field

·Be familiar with Security Operations Centers (SOCs) / DoD

·Be familiar with DCO / CSSP-guiding security policies and procedures

·Understand fundamental concepts of software design and implementation

·Knowledge of DoD mission system sustainment

·Motivated, self-starter capable of autonomous on-the-job learning / improvement with minimal supervision
