Jacobs is seeking a part-time Senior Rail Transit Engineer to join the Oakland Team. As a Senior Rail Transit Engineer you will be responsible for providing consultancy and engineering services in the rail market for California as well as providing support across North America, including immediate needs in our West Region.

The role will assist with project delivery, transportation planning studies, preliminary design studies and final design of transit and rail improvement projects.

This role will also support any post design and construction phases.

The base salary range for this position is $68.51 per hour to $214.18 per hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Here's What You'll Need :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in CA
• Minimum 30 years experience on rail and transit projects including railway planning, design management, track alignment and general rail civil and drainage.
• Knowledge and understanding of FRA / DOT, AREMA, UPRR, and other local, regional and national railroad criteria.

Ideally, you’ll also have :

• Established local client relationships
• Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
