We're looking for a Senior Piping Design Technician in Portland, Oregon who is excited about working on projects that enable the heart of our clients’ business. Join us and you’ll have the chance to work on projects including state of the art Micro-Electronics and Solar facilities. You’ll be accountable for checking, reviewing, and providing feedback for piping models in 3D software under the direction of Lead Checkers. You will coordinate with other piping checkers and piping designers, and you will be working with an engineering design team on high-tech industrial manufacturing facility projects.. Your multi-discipline, highly interactive team will review in-flight design and ensure piping design meets our quality standard before being sent to our clients. You’ll also have the chance to utilize your technical expertise to mentor other professionals, helping your team discover what drives them, nurturing their purpose and guiding them forward.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• 10 years of checking the layout of process and mechanical equipment and associated piping design
• Advanced working knowledge of piping design in 2D/3D modeling software such as CADWorx, Smartplant or Microstation.
• Strong knowledge of Navisworks

Ideally, you’ll also have: 

• 15 or more years of piping design experience
• Strong communication skills both verbal and written 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Microelectronics, process mechanical piping systems, industrial waste and high purity water systems
• Experience with checking pipe installation details and pipe supports
• Forward thinking, eager to learn best practices, and contribute with innovative ideas 
• Displayed ability to learn quickly and driven to broaden knowledge base 
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams
