Jacobs is seeking an On-Site Structural Engineer - Buildings. Project location with be at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. The On-Site Structural Engineer - Buildings will provide support to USACE on federal and commercial design-build projects. Collaborating with our diverse team of architects and engineers, you’ll design structural systems for any variety of building types including airports, government facilities, mission critical facilities, laboratories, and large-scale manufacturing facilities. You’ll be accountable for schedule, scope, budget, and technical quality of engineering tasks and construction documents. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related degree with emphasis in Structural Engineering
Minimum 5 years of professional engineering experience related to performance of infrastructure and design related projects
Proficiency with structural design and analysis software (e.g., ETABS, RISA, RAM)
Thorough knowledge of building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE)
Desire to take independent initiative and ownership of work, and an eagerness to learn
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Engineer in Training (EIT) a plus
US Citizenship
