The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Scheduler to join our team working on a defense project.As a Program Scheduler, you will be at the core of ensuring our implementation team remains on track to achieve outcomes and execute on deliverables. Collaborating across multiple teams, you will work closely with our most important stakeholders ensuring that milestones, and schedule risks are being tracked and mitigated, and that transparent communication about progress is prioritized and ongoing. Lastly, you will help facilitate collaboration across a global enterprise while ensuring our customers' continued success. Come help solve the world’s hardest problems.

Location: Remote on the East Coast of the US

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) that tracks current data on program process for a multi-million dollar Department of Defense (DoD) program, ensuring its accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project requirements.
  • The program schedule, maintained within the IMS, shall contain all control points (milestones), identify interdependency data on IMS milestones and mission scheduling to assist in deconflicting mission and project priorities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project data, milestones, and deliverables, and incorporate them into the master schedule.
  • Conduct regular analysis and assessment of schedule performance, identifying any potential risks or deviations from the baseline schedule.
  • Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure they have visibility into the project schedule, providing regular updates and reports as necessary.
  • Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to established timelines and milestones.
  • Identify dependencies, critical paths, and resource constraints within the project schedule, and propose mitigation strategies to address potential issues.
  • Conduct schedule risk assessments and develop contingency plans to minimize project delays or disruptions. Solve complex problems requiring detailed knowledge of field and industry best practices in project controls.
  • Support the development and maintenance of project documentation, including schedules, reports, and presentations.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in scheduling and project management, and recommend process improvements to enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness.

Here’s what you’ll need:

What We Value

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, Business, Project Management) or equivalent work experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in scheduling, project management, or a related field, preferably within the defense industry. Experience with resource-loaded scheduling for large, complex technical projects
  • Fluency in Microsoft Project (daily use in previous role) with strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, e.g., Excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft VBA as applied to scheduling or schedule analysis
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address schedule-related issues promptly.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy and precision in schedule development and management.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with management and team members across functional disciplines in the development, integration and tracking of various teammate project schedules.
