As an Automation Intern you’ll learn all of the steps associated with designing equipment including: developing controls circuits in CAD, documentation control, gathering information from specification sheets, purchasing equipment, developing construction documentation for contractors, PLC and HMI programming, and checking out equipment.

Here’s what you’ll need:

• In pursuit of a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related program from an accredited program
• Must be at least a rising Sophomore
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

Ideally, you’ll also have:

• 3.0 GPA
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Understanding of electrical/controls circuits
• Interest in learning PLC and HMI programming
• A previous internship related to your field of study
• Self-driven time management and organizational skills
