As a Junior Transportation Planner, you will perform a wide range of transportation planning and support tasks, while working directly under the guidance of more senior staff.

You will also be recognized for your contributions. Your workplace will be a combination of home, office, clients office and on-site / field visits.

Desired Skills :

• Training and experience in active transportation, such as bicycle and pedestrian planning and design
• Familiarity with applicable Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards
• Experience performing site investigations and developing recommendations
• Preparing and monitoring schedules
• Interpreting and preparing policy and regulatory language
• Vetting and recommending planning strategies
• Performing spatial and GIS-based analysis
• Preparing presentation graphics
• Other skills as required.

Here's What You'll Need :

• A Bachelors degree in urban planning, engineering or related field
• An internship or 1 year of Transportation Planning experience
• Ability to create high quality graphic reports and presentation
• Understanding of analysis required to conduct transportation planning studies
• Demonstrated ability to conduct GIS analysis and prepare maps / graphics to support technical documents and public outreach efforts.
• Ability to analyze data utilizing spread sheets and data base software
• Ability to develop graphics using Adobe Creative Suite
