Hours: 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to respond effectively to changing demands.
• Experience with cleaning or maintenance preferred.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain the school buildings and grounds, including classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and play areas, ensuring a neat, clean, and safe learning environment.
• Wear protective equipment and follow safety procedures to maintain a secure work environment for all.
• Participate in in-service training sessions (e.g., bloodborne pathogens, cleaning solutions, floor care, First Aid) to stay updated with best practices in facility maintenance and safety.
• Promptly respond to safety or operational concerns, such as facility damage or injuries, to uphold our commitment to a safe educational environment.
• Follow procedures for the proper storage and disposal of trash and recycling, contributing to the school's environmental initiatives.
• Skillfully use floor machines (buffers, automatic floor machines, burnishers, vacuums, etc.) for cleaning and maintenance of floors. Shampoo carpets and rugs as required.
• Operate a variety of equipment and machinery, ensuring proper maintenance and safe usage.
• Thoroughly clean walls, ceilings, floors, windows, and furniture, reflecting our standards for a clean and inviting educational space.
• Arrange and reorganize furnishings and equipment for various school activities, events, and functions, demonstrating flexibility and support for school initiatives.
• Replace ceiling tiles and light bulbs as necessary, ensuring well-maintained and well-lit facilities.
• Report maintenance issues promptly to the appropriate personnel, contributing to the efficient operation of the school.
• Secure facilities and grounds to minimize property damage and ensure the safety of our school community.
• Perform other duties as assigned, supporting the broader mission and values of the school.

Physical Demands:

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Regular bending, reaching, standing, and walking, reflect the physical nature of the job.
