Job Summary

Jackson Taylor Contractors is a national general contractor with offices in Pittsburgh, PA, and Cleveland, OH (Commercial/Industrial/Transportation) searching for experienced Superintendent to travel to multiple states. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and the ability to conduct the following duties.

Essential Functions

  • Subcontractor Management and Coordination
  • Adhere to the Project Schedule
  • Quality and Safety Control
  • Report project progress on a daily basis
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Knowledgeable of Microsoft Office
  • Educated in reading and understanding Civil, Arch, Structural, Mechanical and Electrical Drawings
  • Strong Management Skills
  • Travel will be required

Required Education and Experience

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Intermediate knowledge of project management.
  • Familiarity with OSHA, DEP and other governing body regulations.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Degree or certificate in related field.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position manages all employees that are employed on his/her project and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of employees for his/her project.

Work Environment

  • Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions.
  • Noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, sitting and climbing for extended periods of time.
  • Must frequently lift or move items 50 pounds or more
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work and walk on uneven terrain.

Position Type and Hours

This is a full-time position. 40 hours per week and may require longer hours including evenings and weekends. Days and hours of work vary according to job.
